Research catalogs use a specific vocabulary: compound name, sequence reference, CAS number, lot or batch identifier, and container format. Each of these describes what a product is, not what it does.

A CAS number is a registry identifier assigned to a chemical substance. It is useful for confirming that a listing refers to the substance you intended to source, particularly where multiple naming conventions exist.

Lot and batch identifiers connect a physical unit back to the documentation associated with it. When you compare a listing to a document, these identifiers are the link.

This article is educational and does not describe administration, dosing, or any human use. Product classification and permitted use are determined by the supplier's approved regulatory language.
